Hi Guys,
Thanks to all of you that helped out in one way or another after my 420' wreck.
I've been riding again and looking forward to the next jump in Washington, once the weather gets a bit better.
The 450cc needs some rebuilding and Trinity as well as DeWayne Jones are helping out with that.
Meantime I'm getting back in shape and enjoying the wet dirt in Bakersfield.
Video of the record jump and the wreck as well will soon be available online.
So... get ready for Bird's comeback!

Hi All,
As you probably know by now, I wiped out pretty hard at the 420' mark during my last landing.
If you'd like to help, here's the info for the account that was set up to collect some hospital funds:

Thanks for all your help!
I'll post the details of the jump when I can get around a little better.

HI ALL
It's getting hot now with no wind and the 450 is close to being ready.
I've been practicing for a month and just have some more fine-tuning left.
We'll be ready this week for the first real test jumps off the ramp!
Stay tuned for the record attempt...

Hi All,
Just a quick update...
We're getting pretty close to jumping the CR500 off the ramp.
The bike is in great shape, De Wayne Jones did an excellent job with the suspension and I'm getting very comfortable on it.
Thanks to Chris at O'Neal for the riding gear and body armor; I didn't mean to test it out but I hit a rock on landing with the front tire and wiped out.
The bike didn't get damaged but I put a brand new scratch on my new helmet.
Oh well...
A couple more practice (jumping) days and then I'm gearing the bike for speed and will start test runs at the ramp.
The weather is great at the moment with winds dead calm for about an hour and a half in the mornings and evenings.
We posted some more pictures from yesterdays practice, Gallery 6 - Test jumping the 500cc.
I'm ready..
The bike's ready..
Let's go fly!

OK..
The 450cc is still at the Trinity Racing Shop but I've got the 500cc back with a new suspension from De Wayne Jones.
I'm riding it pretty hard at the moment to see if everything works as it should.
Check out some cool pictures in the Media Gallery.

The first test jump off the ramp is planned for next week sometime and in a couple of weeks we're ready to go for the record jump.
Another good thing is that the jump on the 250cc is finally getting the recognition as a world record jump from the Guinness Book of World Records and we are finalizing the details and requirements for the upcoming jump.
Things are moving.., stay tuned.., the record jump is coming up.

Hey all,
Things are finally starting to roll again.
We've been really busy with moving but can now focus on jumping again.
The bikes are in the shop for suspension and engine work and should be ready in a few days for some test runs.
We are now planning for a jump within a few weeks but as you know, there's a lot of organizational stuff to do before it all comes together.
A big thanks to all involved!
More soon...

Hi All,
Not too much going on over here for the weekend.
We were busy loading up the bikes and getting everything organized.
And trying to stay dry is becoming harder today since it's SNOWING today here in sunny Southern California!
After running around in shorts and t-shirt last week, this week calls for winter coats again.
Oh well...
It's a good thing nobody can change the weather at will. (Can you imagine the squabble?...WE NEED RAIN!...NO, WE NEED SUNSHINE! :)
Looking at this post I think the rain is getting to me too.
Hope you all had a good weekend...
I'll post more as it happens.

OK... who ordered the rain?
I guess sometimes it even rains in sunny Southern California.
We got some more stuff packed up and getting ready to take down the ramp.
I was working on my 450 today as well; it needs a bit of fixing after I wrecked it when sliding on a pipe.
It's another story and I want to get some pictures first before I tell you more about it.
Cool stuff...

Hi All,
Well, it looks as if we have some big changes coming up.
The arrangement we had with Honolulu Raceway doesn't seem to be working out and we are going to take down the ramp and set it up at a different venue.
Stay tuned to find out when we're done setting the ramp up again.
It's been really sunny and nice here for the past few days and I've been working on fixing up another bike, if I wasn't busy with taking down fencing and getting the ramp packed up.
The bike is a 500cc Honda that's called 'Big Bird' (for now :) and will need a bunch of work before going on it's first flight.
I'll keep you updated...
OK, back to packing.
Stay tuned...

Yippee... my new web site is finally up and running.
Hi everyone! I guess that would be the biggest news for the day on my end. Now I've got an easier way of keeping everyone updated and sharing some cool footage. Please bookmark this page and come back sometime to check on the progress of my long distance jumps or check out new pictures we'll be putting up. As you all know, I'm still doing this without any big sponsor and the next step (or jump :) happens when we get enough money together.
If you would like to help out a little and see me break the world record, please consider to put a few bucks into the 'Jump Fund'. You can do so by buying pictures or ad space on this site, or you can just 'donate' some money to the cause.
Your help is greatly appreciated! Check back here for progress and more interesting stuff to come about the jumps, the bikes, technical details about the ramp, future plans and happenings.
I hope you enjoy this site and please let us know if you find something not working right or things we can improve. Thanks again for stopping by... Welcome to the 'Birds-Nest'.
